Review: As all parents do, we look for the best possible car seat for our child. I myself went for the name Eddie Bauer since I knew the name, and knew the products were

excellent quality. To my surprise, I was very disappointed in the Eddie Bauer High Back Booster. After paying 100.00 for it at Target, I thought I had made the right choice in car seats.

Criticism: Well, wrong I was. For the first couple of months it was great, my son had a nice, clean car seat that actually kept him in place and he could move around freely. After a couple of months, of course having a 3 year-old sit in it, it became dirty and I wanted to wash it. Do you think that was possible? Well sure, after taking off the cover I washed it. To my surprise it shrunk. I was very upset, and immediately returned it for another.

After that I never washed it again in the washer machine, I thought maybe it was my fault, and decided just to sponge wash it instead. But after a while I noticed that every time my son would climb into the car seat, the cover would start slipping off. That is because it is connected with pieces of elastic strips folded under the seat. What a pain in the neck this had become. I had to fix it every time he got in, every time he moved, and every time he got out. But that's not all.

I have a Town & Country Van, so the car seat sits in a duplicate seat, just much bigger. The seatbelt wraps around the car seat so it is locked into place. Unfortunately, it also is very close to the child's head when they are sitting down.

And to add to my car seat trouble, I recently had to slam on my brakes, and with no warning the car seat moved forward slightly, even with it being strapped in properly. My son was petrified. He didn't even want to go back in it.

After that I decided it was time to look for a new car seat. And I got one too; it cost half the price and I haven't had to worry since then. So what I am saying is this, just because the name sounds good, does not mean the quality is. Look around first too. Don't jump to buying such important items just because they look good. A good looking car seat, but not worth the money spent at all.
