Business Description: Isagenix is a five year old company that is on target to exceed $200,000,000 in sales for 2007. Why did you join this company? I joined for the cleansing products and the weight loss hopes. I am building a business based on the results.

How long have you been in the work at home business? My husband, Rick, has been involved with home based businesses for fifteen years, but I never had much to do with them. In February, 2007, a friend of Rick's contacted him about Isagenix. He looked at the products and the programs for cleansing and weight loss, and he knew that I believed in internal cleansing, so Rick asked me to take a look at the website. It is a very professional site with audios, videos, and lots of information. It's endorsed by Dr. John Gray, author of "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus", and also by Jay Williams, Ph.D., author of "The 24 Hour Turnaround". Jack Canfield, author of the Chicken Soup For the Soul" was so impressed with Isagenix that he wrote a book about it called "Chicken Soup For the Healthy Soul".

I saw the 9-Day Cleanse, and thought, "This is just what I need." So, I asked Rick "Will you do this with me?" and of course he said yes, because he was interested in the business opportunity. Well, to make a long story... a little shorter, we both did the 9-day cleanse, and I lost 12 pounds and he lost 10... but the best part of it was the way that we felt. It was like a cloud had been lifted from around my head. Because of the difference in me and my lack of depression, Rick says "We will never get off of these products."

What is the startup investment? The annual fee is $49, but you can enroll for $36 if you initially sign up for an autoship (which you can cancel or change at any time). Of course, then you have the cost of whatever products that you want to purchase. If you are not taking any nutritional supplements, it should be a consideration which would be in addition to your normal outflow of money. However, the 9-day cleanse, for example, cost $125 wholesale (+tax&shipping), but you are replacing 26 meals. (Less than $5.50 per meal - and you're getting healthy.) So, in reality, you are just moving food money over to nutritional food money.

Your biggest challenges: My responsibility is to help take care of Rick's mother who has Alzheimer's. That can be very difficult and depressing. The Isagenix products have helped me to feel so much better and I really have not noticed any depression since we began the first program.

How much do you spend? We chose to start with a $500 package which gave us many different products, but we will usually spend a few hundred dollars a month on products for ourselves. The thing that you must consider is "Is this money spent in addition to my normal budget?" For example, the wholesale price of a 9-day cleanse is $125 (plus tax & shipping). It provides for 26 meals, so we don't spend as much as if we ate at any fast food restaurant.

What advertising has worked for you? I am a walking billboard. The people that know me are recognizing that there is a difference in how I look and feel. That has been my number one advertisement. When they ask, I tell them a little and then give them a brochure and a DVD that explains the program. Hopefully this advertisement on the WAHM Search Engine will be successful too.

Tell us about any games you use successfully at your home parties: Even though some people are building huge teams with home parties, we started with one on one presentations and giving out CDs and DVDs that present our business opportunity. It's much easier to duplicate your efforts if you let the tools do the selling. Besides the cleansing and nutritional products, we also have skin care, and some people do skin care parties. Isagenix has tons of training information in the member's area of the website to teach you how to build the business, including how to run a home party.

How do you balance work and family? Our children are both in college, and both on our Isagenix team. Our son wants to make his living with Isagenix, so that he can devote more of his time to music. I would think that if this business had been available when our children were younger, we would be talking to the parents of their friends... and I wouldn't have carried this extra weight for so many years.

How about some advice for people who are looking into a work at home business? Isagenix is a results oriented business. People use the products and they notice the difference in how they look and feel. I didn't have to try and sell anybody. I just tell them how great I feel and the subject ends up with Isagenix. People are noticing my weight loss and have started to ask me what I'm doing. This business is easy because I have experienced the products. You aren't required to make a huge commitment to try our products.

What are your business goals for 2007 and beyond? In their first five years, Isagenix has produced over 10 millionaires. Over a hundred others are well on their way. I don't have to be a millionaire, but I do want to help as many people as possible to improve their health and self worth.

What are the minimum monthly or quarterly sales, if any? To be commissionable, you need to sponsor two associates, (one on the left team and one on the right team) and to purchase or retail $100 in Business Volume (BV) per month.

What suggestions do you have for new business startups? Find something that you believe in and do that. You must be enthusiastic about your product or service.
