Global Resorts Network (aka GRN)
Name: Steve
and Debbie Turner
company: Global Resorts
Network (aka GRN)
Business
Description: Global
Resorts Network Offers a Lifetime Luxury Travel Club Membership allowing
travel of up to 85% off. Ther's one membership: two options for
consumer. You are not a travel agent, nor do you book travel for others.
You simply market the membership as your product. This membership has
sold for 3 times the amount for 21 years and still does today. Global
Resorts Network was awarded the exclusive rights to market this membership to
the general public via the home based business model. We are the
affiliate marketing arm for the product vendor.
Why did you
join this company?
Many reasons:
- This
travel product has been selling strong since 1986 without any opportunity
behind it. It was important to us that we choose a product that could
stand alone and that people wanted.
- We
wanted a product that’s in huge demand. Travel is the number 1
industry in the world, at 7 trillion a year and growing at 23% per year.
- We
wanted a product that the masses wanted, not just a select “group” of
people. We wanted something that caused people to relax and smile
about and dream about as soon as you mention it.
- Had
to have huge return on investment with true residual income. Steve is
a registered investment advisor, financial planner and Debbie had a 13 year
top producer real estate career so there was a lifestyle that we were
accustomed to. We wants a home business that provided that kind of
profit. We understand what it takes to have a successful business and
therefore, if it’s the same time spent, same effort, same advertising
costs, same follow up, same learning curve, then the profits had to in the
thousands, not the hundreds or worse. The perpetual leverage pay plan
pays us thousands of dollars to unlimited depths.
How long have
you been in the work at home business?
Steve has owned several businesses since 1980’s. Debbie has been her
own boss since I 1992 and both have been involved in traditional home
businesses for several years treating it more as a hobby. Serious
success came when we got serious about doing it in 2007.
What is the
startup investment?
Investment of $1,495 for the 36 month
membership with return on investment at $500 for each membership sold.
Investment of $2,995 for the lifetime
membership with return on investment at $1,000 for each membership sold.
No recurring fees for membership.
Website fees are $100 and will look like
this and is deducted from your first paycheck:
No monthly fees. You are billed once
a year on your anniversary should you wish to remain in the business.
Your biggest
challenges: Helping
new business owners see their greatness. We as humans are created with
all the parts we need to succeed. As children we are adventurous, take
risks, curious, excited about life, enthusiastic, when we get hurt, we get
over it and move on, we don’t hold grudges, have no egos and we have a
belief system that we can do anything we want and be anything we want.
When we grow up, we take on others’ belief systems that somehow we aren’t
good enough, don’t measure up, will never be successful, don’t deserve to
be wealthy, money is bad or sinful, and the list goes on. So what
happens is adults have belief systems in themselves that keep them from moving
forward. Steve and I do a lot of personal development with out business
owners to help them achieve greatness. Once a business owner believes in
themselves, they take off.
Time Wise:
Debbie full time – 8 hours a day. Steve is busy with his financial
practice but enjoys getting on the phone with folks to say hi and help them
out.
Money Wise:
There are free ways to advertise and paid ways to advertise. They both
work. If you are looking to kick start and are serious, allow $2,000 to
spread over a 90 day period for some advertising. Free ways generally
take longer to embed and get results.
What
advertising has worked for you?
We believe that personal branding and web
2.0 technologies is where it’s at today and we see proof of that when people
respond to our ads. People will do business with people they know, like
and trust. That’s accomplished in relationship building skills via
video, audio, webinars, my story marketing, social networking, good content in
email campaigns, putting the hype away and being yourself. We do a
variety. It all works at different levels for different people.
Adwords, articles writing, blogging, videos, contract with internet
advertising companies, etc.
What can I expect
if I launch my Global Resorts Business with you?
For business owners only within our
"team", we offer full internet marketing training including al the
techniques mentioned above which will leverage you into a million dollar
online business. This is done through webinars, phone, one-on-one and
group coaching, email and IM support. We won't ditch you if that's what
you're asking. We know the critical important of assistance. We
also expect you as a business owner to take responsibility for your own
success. We are not going to do it for you. We will give you
directions and guidance, counselling and where to go to find information, but
ultimately it's up to you to apply the knowledge and follow through on what we
recommend you do. It's your business, your success. We are raising
up leaders and strong men and women to have strong businesses.

How do you
balance work and family?
Prioritizing: Get done what
absolutely must be done first. Then move down your list. Family
always takes top if something comes up. Keep your office clean and
organized, stay focused and you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish in
about 4 hours. Get your work done, then focus on the family, hobbies,
other interests.
How about some
advice for people who are looking into a work at home business?
Well, here’s the honest truth and it’s
what we tell people.
- There’s
no magic solution to overnight success. So many people are searching
for a home business because they are in a critical financial situation and
they think they can join something for free and generate tons of cash in 3
days. Doesn’t happen, no such thing. It’s a business, it
takes strong desire, commitment and a learning curve. Building a
business takes time, yes you can be in profit mode quickly with GRN, however
it’s different for everyone. People need to start a business with
long term goals in mind, not only short term. Don’t launch a
business to “try” it . . . launch it to build it or don’t launch
it at all.
- Running
a business takes money. You have your initial investment, your website
costs and domain hosting, your phone bill, advertising costs, be it business
cards or Adwords, there’s still cost involved. Be realistic.
- Choose
a product or service that you can truly believe in, be proud of to share
with anyone, use yourself and excited about. Ask for a demonstration before
you launch your business. See it, feel it, touch it, understand it
because that’s what you’ll be living with.
- Make
sure it’s not a brand new start up company.
- Know
who you’re mentor and coach will be. It doesn’t matter so much how
long your sponsor has been in the business as it matters that you have a
connection with someone in the business who is available to assist,
generally there are mentors who train entire groups and you come in as an
apprentice.
- You
have Do your “Due-diligence” and stay away from hype.
- Take
responsiblity for your own success. Don't play the blame game and make
excuses. Treat your business as a business, just like you would if you
bought a Starbucks franchise. Show up for work, take charge, make
things happen.
- Watch
out for ads where they say things like:
“This system does ALL the work”.
Our laziness wants to believe it, but no system does all the work. Every
business must have the human variable.
Any claims of overnight success,
guaranteed sales, guaranteed sign ups, make x amount of money within so many
days, that kind of stuff.
What are your
business goals for 2008 and beyond?
We are training 10 leaders each year to
generate a solid 6 figure income. With our perpetual pay plan, 10
business owners generating 2 sales a week is $1,000,000 in income per year.
What are the
minimum monthly or quarterly sales, if any?
In order to receive commissions, you are
required to have one sale a year.
What
suggestions do you have for new business startups?
- This
is not a race
- Be
patient with yourself
- Be
coachable and trainable
- Understand
there’s a learning curve and be willing to work to develop your skills
- Keep
your goals and your “why” in front of you
- Stay
focused and don’t let other’s be a negative influence on you
- Submerge
yourself in personal development every day
- Apply
the knowledge you gain in your business. Try new ways to advertise,
see what works.
- Stay
committed, always be learning and bettering yourself.
- Enjoy
the journey
- Genuinely
care about other people. When you help others get what they want, you
will have everything you ever dreamed about.
- Make
a business plan, your course of action and get going. Don’t
procrastinate.
