Email
marketing: When
Is the Best Time To Send That Email? If you do email marketing (and who doesn't these days?) then you might be interested to know that there are better times than others to send that email. Strange as it may seem, there are certain times when people are more likely to open their email. Can you guess? If you guessed between 8 and 9 AM and 8 and 9 PM, then give yourself a cookie, or whatever you like to reward yourself with. Now, if you didn’t guess those times then you probably need some explanation as to why these are such critical times when it comes to email marketing. Let me explain. What
most marketers don’t realize is that the majority of the people who promote
online live on the east coast of the United States. No offense to those of you
in California or Japan, but these people on the east coast have you outnumbered
by a wide margin. Okay, but so what? What does that have to do with 8 and 9 AM
and 8 and 9 PM? Well, it just so happens that the majority of these people go to
work between 8 and 9 in the morning. As they are arriving at the office, the
first thing that they do is open up their email. Well, if you’re sending out
your ads at that time, your email is going to be one of the first things that
they see. But
what about 8 and 9 PM…what’s up with them? Well, it just so happens that
most people get out of work between 5 and 5:30. They get home between 6 and
6:30, eat dinner around 7 or so and by the time they are all done and relaxed,
they then head to the computer to check their email, if they hadn’t already
done so early in the morning. Even if they have, most people check their email
at least twice a day. So this is another great time for you to send out your
email ad. Now,
some of you may be thinking, “What does it matter? If I send my email out at,
say, 3 AM, they’re still going to see it at 9 AM when they get to work,
right?” Well, no, not really. See, that email has arrived, along with a number
of other emails, and it ends up getting buried at the bottom of the email chain.
Many of these just end up getting deleted or ignored. But the ones that come
JUST as the person is opening up his email, especially if it has a compelling
subject, they’re the ones that are going to get opened. If
you’re skeptical, and I’m sure you are, try it some time. What have you got
to lose? You
just might be surprised at the results. from Greg Cryns Work At Home Profiles: http://www.workathomeprofiles.com Wahm Search Engine: http://www.wahmsearchengine.com Send Out Cards: http://www.gregcryns.com/send-out-cards/2.htm
