Using YouTube.com to explode your sales - Part 2

What does this mean to you? Here is an example of a YouTube video where a new author is showing what her just released book is about. I know it is working for her. I bought her book! The main point about this short video, though, is that the author, J.R. Turner, made the video all by herself with her own camera. Here is the link:

She is following a very important internet marketing rule: if you want to sell stuff you need to be on very valuable real estate. That real estate includes such sites as YouTube, Google Adwords, eBay, CraigsList, MySpace to name a few. Right now I am testing out some marketing on MySpace because I think it might work. More on that later.

So, back to another direct sales theme. Do you have your "elevator speech prepared". Actually there are TWO short speeches you need to have ready at all times. 1) the 7 Second speech for when you have, well, just 7 seconds to tell your story; 2) your 40 second speech, because any longer than that and you are being pushy. Don't be pushy! That is the quickest way to turn off a prospect.

Here's a funny joke that came in today....

(Supposedly a Police Report from Sarasota Fl.....)

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of my car!"

The four men didn't wait for a second invitation. They got out and ran like mad. The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the drivers seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition.

She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why...for the same reason she did not understand why there was a football, a frisbee and two 12 packs in the front seat...a few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down.

She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station to report her mistake. The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. 

He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair and carrying a large handgun. No charges were filed.

Remember...
